Cadantis Associates provides water consultancy in partnership with United Water.
What we do Cadantis runs appeals against water companies on behalf of its clients where we believe there is a fundamental fault in the way the bills are being calculated.
In our opinion water companies do not have the resources or the correct information to charge many of their customers correctly.
In order for an appeal to be accepted certain evidence needs to be produced such as drainage plans, sewer details, surveyors reports and also we provide information of past successful appeals which acts as very strong evidence.
The Appeal Process We work in connection with our business partner United Water and their team of specialist water surveyors. All we ask our clients to do is sign a letter of authority/service agreement and provide us with a copy of their latest water bill.
Our surveyors will do an initial appraisal on the building concerned and decide the likelihood of a successful appeal. If it transpires that there is a reasonable chance of success a detailed formal appeal will be raised against the water company concerned. Depending on the complexity of the case it may take several months before a decision is made and we will handle the complete process from start to finish.
Our most successful appeals have been in connection with reducing the banding charge levied on a building and surface water drainage charges. Depending on the water company concerned we look to recover overcharges going back to a maximum of 6 years and to make sure the right charges are applied going forward.
Charges We only charge our clients if there is a successful appeal resulting in refunds or reduction of charges from the water company. Our standard charge is a sum equal to 50% of the full savings for one year only plus 50% of any refunds and/or credits made by the respective Water Company.
